Knuthenborg Park & Safari is northern Europe’s biggest safari park, with totally unique things to see and do for both children and adults – experiences from the world of wildlife you will take home as memories you will treasure and share with your nearest and dearest.
When you visit Knuthenborg Park & Safari you will quite simply be taking part in a great story.
Wild animals from all over the world wander free in the magnificent park – without the fences and bars of a normal zoo.
You will come surprisingly close to the animals, whether in your car or on foot. Look at the animals eye to eye and feel their breath. That is how close you get. You can touch and stroke many of the animals. It is up to you, and up to the animals themselves.
  
Knuthenborg Park & Safari means far more than fascinating exotic animals in the open. The park has been in the hands of the count’s family for more than three hundred years and “breathes” a history rich in tradition. The beautiful old buildings stand amongst the greenery with the resplendence of wonderful architecture from a bygone age. The historical atmosphere also permeates the several hundred exotic shrubs and trees which have been planted over the years and now constitute a magnificent collection of unique botanical value. So a walk through the beautifully spacious park is quite an experience.

When you feel hungry you can enjoy your meal among the greenery and admire the view of natural beauty; and all this together with those who mean most to you. Or you let your imagination and your body experience Denmark’s biggest natural playground. You can disappear into the jungle together with your family, play Tarzan on the difficult trails and swinging ropes, balance on tree stumps or climb on rope ladders up to the tree tops.
In the Sahara play area you can build sand castles, play with water and let off steam in the children’s jungle and in the even larger and more challenging “Balance” playground. You can cross the desert with the balloon swing and then sit down to eat in the cosy Safari Grill or Beaver Tail House (Bæverhalehuset).
Children will love a tour through the Monkey Forest, where curious Pavian monkeys hang off the windows of the Monkey Bus, so very close to you.

Denmark’s biggest natural playground has become even bigger.
Let your imagination run wild and play Tarzan in Denmark’s biggest natural playground, which this year has been expanded with an exciting jungle where the children can discover “wild animals” hidden in the park. Enjoy the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with fun and games in the Limpopo area. Children can easily spend the whole day here.
